Joe and his wife, Chi Chi, have a blended family of seven children, two grandchildren and two grand-dogs (Sarah and Prancer).
Walk into Joe’s restaurant, and you’ll see a wall covered with pictures of his family. He especially loves to show the picture of his twin daughters in their U.S. Army fatigues while serving in Iraq. He’s proud of their service to their country.
Like most of us, Joe enjoys relaxing at home. When he gets some free time, he enjoys watching his favorite sports teams (Mavericks and Cowboys) and his favorite television shows, Law and Order, and CSI:Miami.
Many Americans enjoy unwinding to music. Joe is no different. And what does Joe listen to on his iPod? With a chuckle, he confesses he’s partial to Celine Dion.
Joe knows the importance of good health habits. For exercise, he jogs. And when time permits, Joe likes to squeeze in a few rounds of golf. His favorite golfer? Phil Mickelson.
Most often, Joe eats the healthy, culinary masterpieces that he and his chefs prepare at the May Dragon. But every now and then he does enjoy a juicy steak or some good Texas barbeque.
Wise money practices have helped Joe attain financial success. And like most Americans, Joe appreciates the value of being frugal. That’s why you’ll find him doing much of his shopping at Walmart, Sam’s, and Costco. And those Red Apple Sales at Macy’s are great for keeping the former Mayor looking sharp in his business suits.
Joe knows the value of investing into his marriage. That’s why he and Chi Chi try to schedule a regular date night. Their last date? They went to the movies.
When Joe and Chi Chi aren’t on the campaign trail, Sunday morning finds them listening to the teaching of their Pastor Mike Hayes at Covenant Church.
