The Obama Administration’s “green light bulb” contest has a winner: A $50 light bulb.
According to the Washington Post, the winner of the contest was awarded with a $10 million dollar prize for producing a green light bulb that American families could afford. Retailers are already panning the build for being too pricey.
If it wasn’t enough for Congress to ban 75 watt and 60 watt incandescent light bulbs over the next two years, the Administration has used tax payer’s money to pay manufacturers to build a light bulb with a price out-of-reach for most Americans.
